Why would a STEM or technology professional need to be concerned with leadership for diversity, equity, and inclusion? Aren’t these disciplines about objective facts? Nationally, women and members of minoritized groups are underrepresented in the STEM workforce. Improving the representation of women, members of underrepresented groups and those with intersectional identities within STEM fields are key competitive imperatives for the 21st century. Using case studies from industry and education, Nance will facilitate an active discussion on the essential roles played by tech leaders in promoting change.
