2024 VU Women in Tech Breakfast Keynote Speaker - Beth T. Mazzeo
Beth T. Mazzeo is a special advisor and the former Chief Administrative Officer of Bloomberg LP. As Chief Administrative Officer, Mazzeo had responsibility for the company’s global support team across 170+ offices, more than 40,000 client firms and over 20,000 employees. Her department of more than 1,700 people was responsible for the operation of Bloomberg’s global real estate and facilities portfolio, supply chain, security, travel and expense along with technical customer and employee support and infrastructure. Mazzeo joined Bloomberg in 1986 and has since held roles across Bloomberg's trading systems and data teams before serving as Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to Bloomberg, she worked for the financial services firm Integrated Resources. Mazzeo received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Villanova School of Business (VSB) in 1981. She has been a member of Villanova's Board of Trustees since 2013 and served as its Vice Chair for the last two years. Mazzeo is also a former member of the Dean's Advisory Council at VSB. A mother of three (Alexandra '13, Christina and Lawrence Jr. '16), she resides in Skillman, N.J., with her husband, Lawrence, a 1983 graduate of Villanova.

2024 Women in Tech Keynote Speaker : Rana el Kaliouby
Rana el Kaliouby is an Egyptian-American scientist, entrepreneur, investor and an AI thought leader on a mission to humanize technology before it dehumanizes us. She is the Deputy CEO at Smart Eye and formerly, Co-Founder and CEO of Affectiva, an MIT spin-out. Rana is also General Partner at AI Operators Fund, an early stage AI-focused venture fund, as well as an executive fellow at the Harvard Business School where she teaches about AI and startups. Her bestselling memoir, Girl Decoded: A Scientist’s Quest to Reclaim Our Humanity by Bringing Emotional Intelligence to Technology follows her journey, growing up in the Middle East and moving to the United States to become an entrepreneur and Emotion AI pioneer. Rana has a track record of translating technology innovations into products that address massive market needs including in automotive, health and robotics. Rana is a Trustee at the Boston Museum of Science, as well as the American University in Cairo. She is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) where she serves on YPO's New England board and is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. She is co-chair of the Fortune Brainstorm AI conferences. A TED speaker and co-host of a PBS NOVA series on AI, Rana has been recognized on Entrepreneur’s 100 Women of Influence, Fortune’s 40 Under 40 list, Forbes' Top 50 Women in Tech and Newsweek's top Disruptors. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and a Post Doctorate from MIT.

Today Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia (ADRD) affects more than 6.5M American seniors. US health systems are still relying on antiquated approaches to detect and care for the ADRD population. As a result, it is estimated that ~50% of patients with ADRD are undiagnosed, and for those that are diagnosed the process can take 2-5 years. Brittany Cassin, CEO and Co-Founder of DigiCARE Realized, will share how their AI-powered platform is supporting health systems deliver routine brain care for our growing aging population. Now with an FDA-approved treatment, with more on the way, there is an elevated importance of early detection of ADRD.
